Gautam Chatterjee is a bureaucrat by the day and an artist by the night. He dons several hats- an administrator, a planner, a singer, actor, Voice Over artist, a cricketer and a philanthropist.
He is presently working as Additional Chief Secretary in charge of Transport and Ports Department of the Government of Maharashtra.
A Gold Medalist in M.Sc. Mathematics from Patna University, Mr. Chatterjee has been a National Level cricket player in his college days, having played Ranji Trophy for the State of Bihar in 1976-77.
A little about his artistic side - Mr. Chatterjee is a trained singer and has cut albums of Bengali Rabindrasangeet (The Other Side),Hindi bhajans and ghazals. He has been the protagonist in Bengali plays, the most successful ones being "Chiriyakhana" where he played Byomkesh Bakshi and "Alibaba" where he played Kasim.
He plans to continue his philanthropic work in his capacity as President of Bengal Club.
